How Internet Works Explained

Who Controls your Internet How Internet Works  Explained

How Internet Works Explained

 Hello friends

Have you ever wondered who controls the internet around the world?

You might think that internet providers like Jio, Airtel and BSNL control the internet

  But this is not true

If one company stops providing, there are other companies present

Then you may think that maybe our government will control it but it is not true

At most, the government can block 2- Facebook posts or websites

But they can be easily abandoned

And it's not about controlling the Internet around the world

Then, you might think that companies like Google, Facebook and Youtube control it

Because they have the most data

But this is not true either because you can create your own website

And these companies will not be able to interfere

So the question is when you are creating your own website,

Who provides you with the space to build a website on the Internet?

Which website can tell you which websites you can create and which websites you can't?

In this educational video I want to tell you about the internet

Because the Internet is an important tool for maintaining freedom and democracy around the world

Countries like China completely block their citizens from certain websites

Some websites like Google, YouTube and Facebook are permanently blocked there

Because the Chinese government wants to brainwash its citizens in a certain way

Therefore, I think it is important to understand how the internet works and what it is

  www.youtube.com

This is a URL / link

A domain name is called "youtube"

And ".com" is called a top-level domain

If you want to create your own website, then you need to purchase your domain name

There are some websites that sell domain names as their jobs.  For example, GoDaddy.com

If you want to purchase a domain name for your website you need to go to GoDaddy.com

For example, I wanted to buy Dhruvarathi.com, so I went to GoDaddy.com to buy it.

Now the question is who gave GoDaddy the right to sell domain names?

Who is GoDaddy for selling domain names?

There must be someone who will allow GoDaddy to sell domain names

And if no one is there, GoDaddy has somehow become the boss of the internet

That is, selling domain names is the same as deciding who owns which website

But this is not the case

  He has another right

The name of this authority is ICANN

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers - ICANN

It is a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles

You could say that this is a high level of authority about the Internet

It has the power to authorize websites like GoDaddy.com to sell domain names

It is up to the website to decide which domain names it can sell

It is the top tier authority that decides which domain names can actually exist

Can be .Com, .in, .info or .gov

All this has been decided by ICANN

(For example), we can create a website called .gov

We can create domain names with .com in it

Although it is a non-profit organization, it sells top-level domain names by bidding to other companies.

The companies to which it is sold are called "registries"

You can visit ICANN's website and see which companies have purchased various top-level domains

For example, .aa has been purchased by the American Automobile Association

Below are the registrars of registrars.  Companies like GoDaddy.com

Which can sell people both top-level domain as well as domain names

So, is ICANN the god of the internet?

This cannot be said because the Internet is a very decentralized network

You can assume they are purely identical

All mobile phones and computers connected to the Internet make up the Internet

  You can call it "server"

Your mobile phones and computers are data centers and servers that are connected to each other by wire

Huge water cables have been laid across the continent

They connect computers around the world

  Which make up the internet

Now, you may ask that my mobile phone is not connected with any cable,

So how does the internet work on it?

Mobile phones operate via mobile towers and (offer) 3G, 4G which does not have a very wide range

Your mobile phone has 3G / 4G signal while you are near mobile towers

But if you go a little farther, the signals (on your phone) will not appear

So mobile phone towers are actually connected to wires

And finally connected to the stars that are connected to the connected stars around the world

You can easily understand this in the map

A big wire came to India via Mumbai

From the point of Mumbai, the wire spread in different directions and reached different parts of India

Which brought the internet to different parts of the country

So, in a way you can tell which company has laid these wires

Has a large number of vital forces

Because it provides internet in many places

Secondly, you can say that the companies that lay cables on the ground

To help deliver internet to every home by connecting these wires to the main cable

And connect your computer to the Internet around the world

  They also have enormous power

They are called Internet Service Providers (ISPs)

These will be companies like Airtel, Geo, BSNL

Which provides internet to your homes

And yes, they have significant power

This is because these ISPs can block specific websites as directed by the government

  If the government says so

But they do not have enough power to control many things

Because you can use VPN to overcome the obstacle of ISP

Just like every mobile phone has a number from which you can call another mobile phone,

Similarly, every device connected to the Internet has an IP address

Then it could be your computer, your smartphone or another server like a data center

If it is connected to the Internet, it will have an IP address

Every website also has an IP address

For example, if you call one number, the call will go to another phone that you can talk to

Similarly when you type IP address in your browser

It goes to another server and you are able to view the website of that server on your own computer

Now you can say that you type the domain name, not the IP address

Domain names are associated with IP addresses

In fact, humans cannot read IP addresses because they are numbered and numbered

So the domain name is the human readable type of IP address

When you type a website domain name into your browser,

Then the thing that converts the domain name into an IP address is called the domain name server-DNS

Sometimes Internet service providers block certain websites from DNS

So that when you type a domain name it is not able to link it to a specific IP address

So the DNS of the internet service providers blocks you from reaching certain websites

You can only use one public DNS for this.  For example, Google's DNS is 8.8.8.8

You can change your DNS by going to your mobile settings

You can go to settings on your computer and change your DNS to start using Google DNS

Blocked websites will then be blocked

Of course using a VPN is another way

So let's get back to our original question

Who controls the Internet?  Who does it belong to?

The correct answer would be that it does not belong to anyone and belongs to everyone

Because the Internet only works when there is a decentralized system

And if you want to own a part of the internet, if you want to own,

You can only do this when you create your own website

How can you build a website?

  Purchase your own domain name

So you need to buy a server where your website can be stored

Now you can point out that I said that your mobile phone and your computer can also be servers

  Yes, they can be

But she doesn’t have the power and space to process enough to store an entire website

Also, your computer or your phone does not work 24/7

Your website will only be available to 24/7 users on the Internet when it runs 24/7

So that’s what people usually do

Large companies have installed their data centers and huge servers, which are very secure

You can purchase a server there to store your website

Then you need to link your domain name to your server and publish your DNS

  Now, consider this

You have a website.  What if you are able to use this website just like you use your hard disk or pendrive?

This is because the website on the server is providing you with storage space

  When you're out somewhere

(You can) Only your website can be opened on the Internet

And you are able to view documents stored on the hard disk, such as websites

The world will not be able to access this website despite the difference

Only you will be able to access it because it will have a username and password

So you get your own website that you can use as a hard disk

Houm.me is a website / app that allows you to create your own website

And you can use your website like storage space

In the words of this app, you can create a "digital home"

Now you may ask, how is this different from Dropbox?

It's the same with Dropbox and Google Drive

The difference is that the company does not handle your work

That is, documents you upload can also be accessed by Google

The same thing applies to Dropbox

The difference with Houm.me is that no one else can access it

Because you want to create a new website

Houm.me will not be able to access your website automatically
